TEI & b-engine

b-engine renders TEI documents for the web. The Text Encoding Initiative [TEI] is one of the most tested archiving formats for long documents. Hundreds of thousands of documents are stored using this SGML/XML system. TEI Lite, the version of TEI supported by b-engine, is the XML version of this SGML standard. You might use TEI to "future proof" difficult books or documents, such as:

• fiction and non-fiction books,
• academic journals and theses,
• and manuscripts and letters.
