about b-engine

b-engine renders long documents for the world wide web, paginating them for easy display. It also generates an easy to use table of contents and provides a search engine for each publication's document repository. b-engine handles files that use TEI or HTML/XHTML tagging formats. TEI can be used to "future proof" your documents, enabling them to be multi-purposed (output to different media) and providing added metadata functionality, such as granular searching.

b-engine is ideal for long, digitised texts such as fiction and non-fiction books, academic journals and theses, as well as archival manuscripts and letters.

b-engine's interface can be fully customised. Publication administrators can use a standard HTML editor to build their own b-engine web pages. And b-engine comes with start-up templates for standard multi-page web sites and for frame-based sites.
